Fast and Convenient Laboratory Services Available at University Hospitals

Laboratory Services at University Hospitals provides complete outpatient clinical laboratory, cytology and surgical pathology testing and reporting at several convenient outreach locations.

Patients may visit any one of UHs convenient laboratory outreach locations, and no appointment is necessary. Our staff will ask for the laboratory orders the patient received from their health care provider. We will collect the specimens needed for diagnostic testing and forward to the UH Laboratory for testing.

The test results will be sent to the patient’s doctor, and depending on the testing, can sometimes be available within 24 hours. Patients can ask their physician about how soon they can expect results and how those results will be communicated to them.

Staff at UH Laboratory Services will ask patients to provide a copy of their current insurance card. Our lab accepts most major insurance providers, but patients should contact their plan directly if they have any questions.

After testing has been performed and the insurer contacted, patients may receive an invoice from UH Laboratory Services Foundation. Patients can contact us with any questions or to provide additional information.

Financial assistance is available. You can submit the HCAP Application or call, 1-800-931-6642 to determine if you meet the established financial eligibility requirements.
