Nationally Recognized Care

UH Seidman Cancer Center is part of the National Cancer Institute-designated Case Comprehensive Cancer Center at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, one of an elite group of 53 comprehensive cancer hospitals nationwide. This designation means we can offer patients the opportunity to receive the most advanced medical therapies for gallbladder cancer that may not be available at other hospitals.

A nationally recognized cancer program, we have expertise in both routine and complex cancer care, including care for stage III and IV cancer. Our fellowship-trained team evaluates and reviews every cancer case so diagnosis, treatment and care decisions are made by doctors who have expertise in gallbladder cancer. Together, we work through every step of cancer care, always with the goal of getting the patient healthy and active again.

Extraordinary Patient Care by a Team of Experts

We offer patients a multidisciplinary team approach to care. This means all our cancer doctors, nurses and support staff coordinate your care. Our multidisciplinary team performs a disease-specific tumor board review for each gallbladder cancer patient. Tumor board review involves a meeting where every single patient’s case is discussed among an entire team of national experts to guide cancer care decisions. This review process ensures that all realistic treatment options are considered for gallbladder cancer. At UH Seidman Cancer Center, we put patients at the center of this compassionate, highly trained and diverse multidisciplinary team of gastrointestinal experts, including:

Cancer Clinical Trials

UH Seidman Cancer Center has many available clinical trials for patients with gastrointestinal cancer. Clinical trials help find out if new cancer treatments are safe and effective or better than the standard treatment. For some patients, taking part in a clinical trial may be the best treatment choice.
