Comprehensive Obstetrics Care at UH TriPoint Medical Center

The birthing center at UH TriPoint Medical Center is designed to provide advanced obstetrics care, while enhancing safety, comfort and convenience for moms, newborns and their families. Our spacious, private patient rooms are built around the labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) model, meaning that moms remain in the same room through all phases of the birth process including recovery and the post-partum period.

Level 2 Special Care Nursery

The special care nursery rooms have an incubator, ventilator and other advanced medical equipment. The rooms are spacious and allow families to interact and stay with the baby overnight in a private, comfortable setting. There is an emphasis on mother-baby bonding, breastfeeding, and other proven maternity care practices beneficial to mother and baby.

The Lactation Center at Our Birthing Unit

Our Lactation Center is staffed by compassionate, experienced lactation consultants who provide guidance and education about breastfeeding for both new and expectant mothers. We offer a 24/7 breastfeeding hotline and can help facilitate access to breastfeeding supplies. For messages left after hours, a lactation consultant will return your call the next morning.
