At UH Samaritan Pain Clinic, we provide advanced and comprehensive treatments for patients who have chronic and acute pain, including conditions such as:

Pain Diagnosis and Treatment at UH Samaritan

Board certified pain management specialists Zachary Zumbar, MD and Amanda Springer, PA-C are available at the UH Samaritan Pain Clinic to evaluate and treat patients.

The initial appointment begins with a physical exam, patient history and radiological studies, if necessary, to determine the cause of the pain.

Next, an individualized treatment plan is created that may include medications, injections and electrical stimulation, among other interventions and therapies. Specific procedures, which are performed on Mondays, include:

  • Epidural steroid injections
  • Facet joint injections
  • Myoneural injection (with or without Botox)
  • Nucleoplasty
  • Radiofrequency ablation
  • Selective nerve root block
  • Spinal cord stimulation
  • Stellate ganglion block
  • Lumbar sympathetic block
