UH Seidman Cancer Center Opened May 1 at UH Geneva

University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center opened a UH Seidman Cancer Center on May 1, bringing nationally recognized cancer care to Ashtabula County residents. UH Seidman Cancer Center, based at the UH main campus in Cleveland’s University Circle, has been a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Care Center since 1998.

“The Seidman Cancer Center at UH Geneva fulfills an unmet need for our Ashtabula County patients by providing the highest quality cancer care right here in the community,” says Amitabh Goel, MD, Chief Medical Officer at UH Geneva Medical Center. “We are extremely pleased to have made this possible.”

The new facility is designed with patient convenience and comfort in mind. Patients enter and register at the hospital’s main lobby and wait there for their appointment. The bright, attractive cancer center on the hospital’s third floor includes physician examination rooms and three comfortable infusion stations where patients will receive chemotherapy. The nurses who staff the center have a deep understanding of the needs of cancer patients and their families as well as the advanced clinical skills needed to care for cancer patients.

UH Seidman Cancer Center at Geneva Medical Center is open for patient appointments for chemotherapy Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., and appointments with a UH oncologist who is available three days a week. Patients may call the hospital at 440-415-0158 to schedule an appointment.
