UH will Implement Epic EHR Systemwide in 2023

We have accelerated our timeline for implementing the new UH Epic electronic health record (EHR) and will now go live in two waves in 2023.

The new UH Epic go-live schedule is as follows:

In order to go live with UH Epic in a staggered schedule like the one previously planned, many complex “interim workflows" would have been necessary to allow caregivers to work in both Epic and current systems (UHCare and Soarian).   

This new schedule will:

• Streamline the process of going live with UH Epic
• Prevent our caregivers from having to attend training across multiple waves
• Help us maintain our focus on providing the highest level of care for our patients

In the coming month, caregivers going live in the initial wave will begin to receive information about registering for training, specifics on how Epic education will be structured, as well as details regarding what they can do to be ready for the March 4 go-live.
