About
Kenneth Rodriguez, MD, joined the Department of Otolaryngology at University Hospitals in 2013. A native of upstate New York, he obtained a business economics degree at Brown University. Dr. Rodriguez attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh and did his residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He completed a sinus and skull base fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Rodriguez is Division Chief of Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery at University Hospitals. This specialty includes surgical treatments for a variety of conditions ranging from nose-related breathing difficulties to benign and cancerous lesions. Dr. Rodriguez’s goal is to give patients the most comprehensive care possible. To that end, in many cases, surgical intervention is performed with a partner from neurosurgery, oculoplastic surgery or plastic surgery based on the needs of the patient. Joint procedures allow patients to have two specially trained providers accomplishing different goals during the same surgical intervention and are often practiced through the Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery division at University Hospitals.
Dr. Rodriguez has published a number of articles through peer-reviewed journals on issues related to the nose and sinuses. He also reviews articles for publication for four otolaryngology journals. In addition, he has written multiple book chapters related to medical and surgical management of sinus problems. Dr. Rodriguez is a frequent speaker at local, regional and national meetings.

Dr. Kenneth Rodriguez is an amazing provider! Each time I have seen him, he has taken the time fully listen to my concerns and explain everything to me in a manner that I would understand. He even took the time to draw some pictures out to help me to better understand. I walked out of my most recent appointment feeling very hopeful about my future plan of care. I immediately texted several family members and friends saying "if you ever need an ENT you have to see Dr. Rodriguez." The staff in his office is also very friendly and helpful. I recently saw one of my other providers and was explaining what a great experience I had with my recent ENT visit. When she asked who my ENT was she was not surprised. She said she has heard many great things about him from several of her other patients! If I could give him higher than a 10/10 in this survey I would! Thank you Dr. Rodriguez for the great care you provide.

He listens to concerns and explains matters in simple terms so that non-medical professionals can understand , which allowed me to make the health decisions that I was comfortable with. Dr Rodriguez is an exceptional provider. He had a complete understanding of my complex medical condition and discussed my concerns prior to surgery later this month. I feel he is very approachable and he always has a student with him and I love watching how he talks to him/her explaining what he's doing. UH needs more like him.
