About Our Survey

At University Hospitals, we believe in providing patients with all the information they need to make educated decisions about their health care and to choose the right doctor to meet their needs. That is why we partner with the independent patient satisfaction company Press Ganey to survey patients about their experiences at UH facilities and with UH physicians. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of care and are dedicated to creating a positive patient experience for every individual who sees a UH doctor.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Kent's retirement. I have been with him for many years and I am hoping he will be still able to help me with my knee (arthritis). I am still hoping he will have some sort of office hours. He is an excellent Dr. and he has given me excellent advice.

***** He always listens well and gives me a chance to participate in the conversation. I learned that Dr Kent will retire from his internal medicine practice and will miss seeing him. He has been my primary care provider for 40 plus years. He has always been an excellent Dr for me. He has been right on with his diagnosis over the years and has referred me to some excellent specialists. My contact with the UH system has been an excellent experience and will miss UH and Dr Kent. As we move on with our lives in a move to Florida. I wish I could take the UH Hospital system with us to Florida. THANK YOU!

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
