About

Gregory Stefano, MD, is an interventional cardiologist and the William and Eleanor Veverka Semenik Chair in Interventional Cardiology at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. He serves as chief of cardiology at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center in Chardon, Ohio, and is an assistant clinical professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Dr. Stefano has more than 20 years of experience, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with acute and chronic coronary heart conditions. He is highly regarded for his expertise in performing routine and complex percutaneous interventions for coronary artery disease.

Dr. Stefano earned his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) in Rootstown, Ohio. He then completed a residency in internal medicine, a fellowship in cardiovascular disease, and additional fellowship in interventional cardiology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. He is dual board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.

In addition to serving as a past president of the medical staff at UH Geauga Medical Center, Dr. Stefano currently holds several leadership positions in the University Hospitals system, including medical director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at UH Geauga Medical Center, Eastern Regional Director of the UH EMS Institute, Eastern Regional Quality Leader of the Interventional Cardiovascular Center, and Director of Interventional Cardiovascular Community Program Development at UH Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute.
