Christina K. Hardesty, MD, is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and UH Ahuja Medical Center. She also sees patients at UH Westlake Health Center. She is Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics and Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Dr. Hardesty is board certified in orthopaedic surgery. Her special interests include cerebral palsy, scoliosis and spinal deformity correction, neuromuscular disorders, pediatric sports injuries, spasticity and spina bifida.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology and mathematics from Hendrix College, Conway, Ark. She earned her medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, Ark., where she also served her residency in orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Hardesty served her fellowships in pediatric orthopedic surgery at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and in neuromuscular orthopaedics at A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children.
She joined the UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital medical staff in 2011. Prior to that she was an attending orthopaedic surgeon at MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Hardesty is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine, the Scoliosis Research Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society, the Ohio Orthopaedic Association and the Cleveland Orthopaedic Society.

My experience is always amazing. I speak with a communication device and it is slower than normal. She never makes me feel like I being rushed. She was the first doctor to ever actually listen to me in my life, not my parents. It took more time but she listened to me. That matters to the patient. Sometimes it isn't just a cattle run for doctors to get people through. Patients are unique like me. I have complex needs that can't be rushed.
