About
Naveen George, DO, MHSA, is a neurologist at the University Hospitals Neurological Institute specializing in headache medicine. Dr. George is also an assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He received his BA in Psychology and Philosophy at Brandeis University before attending medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. After earning his medical degree and master’s in health services administration, he completed his internship and neurology residency here at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Dr. George then completed a fellowship in headache medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center before returning to University Hospitals to practice.
A member of both the American Headache Society and the International Headache Society, Dr. George specializes in the treatment of migraine, facial pain and other headache disorders. He is trained in Botox injections, occipital nerve blocks, trigger point injections and many other procedures used in the treatment of headache and facial pain. In addition to his outpatient headache practice, Dr. George is staff on the inpatient general neurology teaching service. In addition, Dr. George is actively involved in medical education at UH Cleveland Medical Center, including inpatient teaching rounds and formal instruction. Outside of his work at University Hospitals, he enjoys spending time with his two sons.

I appreciated the amount of time the doctor spent with me for my appointment. He was knowledgeable and attentive to answer all of my prepared questions. He gave me good ways to improve the way I take my migraine medication and also prescribed a new, non-medication procedure to try. Even though I had to wait 3 months to get the appointment, the doctor did spend time explaining things to me. He confirmed some thoughts I had about migraines, and also gave me new information. Overall, it was a great experience.
