Steven Filby, MD, is an interventional cardiologist and director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. He see patients at locations in Cleveland, Elyria and Mentor.

Dr. Filby’s practice focuses on the medical and percutaneous treatment of coronary artery disease and structural heart disease, including the performance of high-risk percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). He has published numerous papers on structural and coronary intervention, as well as a textbook on left atrial appendage closure.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Dr. Filby graduated from Harvard University with honors and obtained his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his internal medicine residency at Stanford University Hospital and a cardiology fellowship at University of North Carolina Health Care in Chapel Hill. Dr. Filby then completed a two-year advanced fellowship in interventional cardiology, peripheral and structural intervention at the Cleveland Clinic. He is board-certified in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology.
