Samuel Zolin, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained general surgeon at University Hospitals. With advanced training in minimally invasive and abdominal wall surgery, Dr. Zolin offers highly specialized clinical expertise in abdominal wall reconstruction and hernia surgery.
Dr. Zolin earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania followed by a residency in general surgery at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Zolin went on to further advance his training at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine where he completed a fellowship in minimally invasive and abdominal wall surgery.
Throughout his years of training, Dr. Zolin was recognized with many honors and awards and served as an active mentor and teacher to his colleagues and fellow students.
Dr. Zolin has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters related to his field of expertise and is actively involved in ongoing clinical trials related to abdominal core health. He is frequently an invited presenter at national and regional conferences to share his research findings and is an active member of the American Hernia Society and the American College of Surgeons.
