About
Sherry H. Yu, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained micrographic dermatologic surgeon at University Hospitals. She is also an assistant professor of dermatology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Dr. Yu’s clinical interests and expertise include Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancers, cutaneous oncology and medical aesthetic procedures, including neurotoxin injections such as BOTOX ® and Dysport ®, dermal fillers and laser treatments.
After completing her undergraduate education at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), Dr. Yu remained in Cleveland to earn her Doctor of Medicine degree at CWRU School of Medicine, graduating at the top of her class and being inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Dr. Yu went on to complete an internship in internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, after which she relocated to Boston, Massachusetts, where she completed a residency in dermatology at the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Training Program. Dr. Yu went on to further advance her training, completing a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at Yale University School of Medicine.
An accomplished presenter, Dr. Yu lectures at local, national and international meetings on topics related to her expertise. Also a prolific researcher and writer, she has authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles and was a member of the Mohs Surgeons Leading the Future: ACMS Foundation Leadership Program.
Dr. Yu is a member in good standing of the American College of Mohs Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
