Care provider was great! I was seeking a second opinion and she explained, examined me and provided me with a solution for my medical issue.

Donya was great! I was added on to her schedule for a concern I had about my recent gallbladder surgery with Dr. Costedio. Donya spent quality time with me, answered all of my questions and explained more about what to expect during my recovery. I left the office feeling reassured and confident. Also, her nurse, Barb, was excellent!

I am so pleased with the care Donya provided. I am SO lucky to have scheduled an immediately for a problem that came up that needed immediate attention. In addition, I was able to discuss with her a related condition that she also treats. I walked out feeling so relieved that I met a wonderful partner with whom I can manage a couple of health hiccups.

The Nurse Practioner that I saw at UH, Miss Donya Woconish, is an excellent provider and I would highly recommend her to my family members and/or my friends in the future. Although, unfortunately there is a middle-aged African American women who works as a receptionist in her office who was downright rude to me and she also spoke to me in a very unprofessional manner as she checked me into my appointment. I know that by UH's reputation they try to strive to provide the best quality of care as possible, but honestly this receptionist should absolutely not be employed in this environment, she is simply not tempered or suited for it.

I absolutely loved Donya. First time seeing her, did not know what to expect or know the outcome. I was extremely nervous Thought she was going to tell me the worst, but found out it was not as bad as I thought. Had a procedure performed by her, she put me at complete ease and explained everything as to what she was doing. I am so grateful to her. I remember telling her when I left that she derserved 10 stars out of 5!!!! She was fantastic.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
