About
Tyler Weisent, CNP, is a radiation oncology nurse practitioner at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center. Weisent specializes in providing care for patients with prostate cancer, kidney cancer and bladder cancer. As a radiation oncology CNP, he collaborates with attending physicians, residents and supportive services to manage patients receiving radiation treatment for newly diagnosed prostate cancer, biochemically recurrent prostate cancer, metastatic prostate cancer, renal cancer, bladder cancer and palliative radiation, as well as patients involved in clinical trials as a sub-investigator.
Weisent attended Kent State University (Kent, Ohio), where he earned his Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2017, graduating magna cum laude. He then attended the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing (Cincinnati, Ohio), where he obtained his Advanced Practice Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner certifications in 2021. Weisent is also certified by the Oncology Nursing Society as an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) as of 2023.
Weisent first joined University Hospitals in 2017 as a Neurological Intensive Care Registered Nurse. He began working as a radiation oncology nurse practitioner at UH Seidman Cancer Center in 2022. Weisent is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Oncology Nursing Society. Among other awards and honors, he is a recipient of the William D. Squires Educations Foundation Scholarship.
