This is a great doctor. His staff are very professional!!! I would recommend every woman saw him, but then I wouldn't be able to get in to see him... lol

the most caring doctor I've ever had

Reviewed On 2/17/2020
Dr. Sherlock is amazing - he is courteous, professional, patient and kind. The experience with the office as a whole, on the other hand, always feels a little discombobulated, confused or in some way slightly "off". Dr. Sherlock is wonderful, the rest of the practice is acceptable.

I have had a great experience with Dr. Sherlock since I first met him in January 2019. He walked me through a difficult diagnosis and made sure that I was treated as quickly as possible (surgery within 12 days of getting a cancer diagnosis). I can't imagine getting care from anyone else.

dr. Sherlock feels compassion for his patients and knew my concerns from my past history of cancer and got me a referral for a second opinion

I have had a great experience with Dr. Sherlock so far. He has been very patient with me and looked through the many years worth of medical records. He has been proactive in my care and covered all the bases. His "bedside manner" is very congenial.

my first visit, service was as expected

I've never had a bad appointment with Dr. Sherlock. I like that he comes in before an exam to see how I am doing and if I have any questions or concerns before he checks me out. He's a very attentive physician and he actually listens to concerns. I had another physician who referred me to Dr. Sherlock for my hysterectomy last year and since then, I'm more comfortable w/ Dr. Sherlock so I switched for my gyno needs

Dr Sherlock is very kind, professional and eager to help. the staff is always kind and helpful as well.

I really like Dr. Sherlock and he made me feel very comfortable.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.

As of December 31, 2016, Douglas Sherlock did not disclose any Outside Relationships with Industry.
