About

Andrea Scioscia, MD, MS, joined the PICU faculty at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s in 2022. Dr. Scioscia completed her pediatrics residency at UH Rainbow from 2015-2019, during which she earned the Carl Zeithmal award for excellence in patient care. She went on to complete her fellowship and served as chief fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh before returning to Cleveland. She is currently an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University, and the Program Director for the pediatric critical care fellowship.

Dr. Scioscia completed her Master of Science in medical education in 2022. She serves as education director for the unit, coordinating interdisciplinary teaching among critical care APPs, nurses, pharmacists and trainees. She is also a member of the Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD), the Society for Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), and the Education in Pediatric Critical Care (EPIC) Investigators group. Her research interests include patient/family communication, curriculum development, and implementation and simulation.
