Ellen Mayer Sabik, MD, is a senior staff cardiologist with University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. She is also an Associate Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Notably, Dr. Sabik is the president and governor of the American College of Cardiology's Ohio chapter.
Originally from Miami, Florida, Dr. Sabik earned her undergraduate degree from Cornell University before earning her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She then completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, followed by a cardiology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Sabik then completed two additional fellowships, in cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging, at the Cleveland Clinic, where she was a staff cardiologist for 20 years.
Dr. Sabik is a fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography, as well as an active member of the American Heart Association.
Dr. Sabik specializes in general cardiovascular medicine, heart disease in women, and valvular heart disease, spending the majority of her time in the echocardiography laboratory at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, and seeing patients at University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood.
