Kathryn Ruda Wessell, DO, is an assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Allergy/Immunology and Rheumatology at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s in Cleveland. She is dual board certified in allergy/immunology and pediatrics.
Dr. Ruda Wessell earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Dayton, her Master of Arts Degree at Boston University School of Medicine, and her medical degree at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s, and her fellowship training in allergy/immunology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Prior to joining UH in 2016, Dr. Ruda Wessell practiced allergy/immunology at HealthSpan.
Dr. Ruda Wessell is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (ACAAI). She is a recent past Co-President of the Cleveland Allergy Society, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Ohio Allergy and Immunology Society (OAIS). Her clinical interests are atopic dermatitis and general pediatric allergy disorders, with a particular focus on collaboration healthcare for children with multiple medical conditions.
