Lisa M. Rock, MD, FACS, is a breast surgeon at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. She joined UH in 2002 after working as a general surgeon at other area hospitals from 1997 to 2002. She is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and a Senior Attending Surgeon at UH.
Board certified in general surgery, Dr. Rock is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is also professionally affiliated with the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, American Society of Breast Surgeons and Academy of Medicine of Cleveland and Northern Ohio.
Dr. Rock received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from John Carroll University (University Heights, Ohio), where she graduated magna cum laude. After receiving her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), she completed a residency in general surgery at UH Cleveland Medical Center.
Dr. Rock combines her specialized training with current research to provide the most advanced treatment for patients with breast cancer. Her goal is to ensure every patient understands their diagnosis and receives comprehensive and compassionate care.

I saw Dr Rock for the first time after a second diagnosis of breast cancer. She is an extraordinary surgeon who (along with the Breast Cancer team, receptionists, technicians and nurses) treat the whole person - not just the cancer.
