Dr. Is Raad has been very supportive as I have IBS and SIBO. His Physician Assistant, Stephanie Fertal has literally saved my life as I have been very depressed trying to find a way to live with this. She has gone above and beyond helping me find a way to get better. Never not returning my calls which when I was at my worse we're quite often. I am so grateful to have her on my team. She finds answers to my questions and has always made me feel that I matter. That I am strong and will find a way to not let this destroy my life. I'm turning 71 next month. To be treated with such kindness and respect helps me keep believing I can get through this.

This was my first time in Dr. Raad's office and I was pleasantly surprised. His medical assistant called me back before I even finished my paperwork in the waiting area. She was very personable, funny and relatable. She took her time and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Raad was AMAZING! He took his time, explained everything and never cut me off when I was talking. I didn't feel like I was just another patient. I was even surprised with the way he wrote my patient notes for my record. I def have been bragging about him since my appointment!

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.

As of December 31, 2016, Dany Raad did not disclose any Outside Relationships with Industry.
