About

Haley Perlow, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist who specializes in the management of brain and spine tumors. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (Miami, Florida) and completed a radiation oncology residency at Ohio State University, where he served as Chief Resident.

While he was at Ohio State University, he specialized in clinical trial development and served as the principal investigator on a clinical trial evaluating interventions to improve cognition for patients with brain metastases. He received further training through invitation to the AACR/ASCO Workshop on Methods in Clinical Cancer Research. He received many national awards in recognition of his research accomplishments during his time at Ohio State University and has been awarded multiple grants to support his research efforts.

Dr. Perlow has authored many articles for many peer-reviewed journals, including Nature Medicine; JAMA Oncology; Neuro-Oncology; International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics; Journal of Neuro-Oncology; and Neurosurgery. He has been invited to deliver oral presentations at national meetings and conferences held by the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and American Radium Society (ARS), among others. Dr. Perlow has been an invited speaker at many regional and national meetings and conferences. He serves as a peer reviewer for a number of journals, including Neuro-Oncology; International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics; and Journal of Neuro-Oncology .

Among other awards and honors, Dr. Perlow is the recipient of the ASTRO Resident Clinical/Basic Science Research Abstract Award (2021), ASTRO Annual Meeting Abstract Recognition Award (2022), ARS Annual Meeting Travel Grant (2022) and the ASTRO Basic/Translational Science Award (2025). Professional societies in which he is a member include the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), American Board of Radiology (ABR), Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO) and American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (ASTRO).

Dr. Perlow’s number one priority is delivering the best possible care to his patients. His current research interests include clinical trial development and implementation, protecting neurocognition and quality of life for brain tumor patients, leveraging advanced imaging to design radiotherapy treatments, and expanding indications for radiotherapy to treat functional disorders.
