Joe always makes my son feel very comfortable to tell him what is bothering him or how he is feeling. There is a trust built up now between Joe and my son, which is why we continue to ask to see Joe. Joe is easy going and pays attention when my son or I are talking.

Joe is wonderful in being attentive and asking questions and clearly explaining everything. The front office person and nurse were both very friendly and helpful also. The receptionist did notify us it was a very busy day and they were a bit behind.

He was very personable and when my daughter was acting nervous, he was very kind and gentle. By the end of the exam she was very chatty with him because she felt comfortable.

Joe has been seeing my now legally adopted twin boys since they were newborns. He has always been AMAZING with them since they have both had so many health issues. I trust him and will never go to anyone else. I hope we never have too. We love all of the providers in the UH rainbows group. Joe is our fav though.

We came to Joe and UH RB&C Hudson location for a second opinion. Joe was able to help confirm our childs misdiagnosis and set a plan to help keep her comfortable while recovering from a viral infection. He identified and corrected a dosing error of a medication she was on while reconciling her medications. He even called later in the week to check up that our daughter was doing well with the new plan and medication dosage. Thanks so much to Joe for the thorough and compassionate care, we are grateful to have you on our team! ***

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.

As of December 31, 2016, Joseph Paxitzis did not disclose any Outside Relationships with Industry.
