About

Mohit Patel, MD, is a dual fellowship-trained spine and scoliosis neurosurgeon who specializes in treating the full spectrum of spinal disorders. His clinical expertise includes cervical and thoracolumbar scoliosis, advanced spinal deformities, kyphosis and complex revision spine surgery.

As one of a select few neurosurgeons with formal fellowship training in both neurosurgical and orthopedic spine surgery, Dr. Patel offers a unique, multidisciplinary approach to patient care. His research focuses on improving clinical outcomes and enhancing patient safety in spine surgery.

Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and completed his neurosurgery residency at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University, where he also served as chief resident. He went on to complete a CAST-accredited fellowship in complex spinal neurosurgery at University Hospitals, followed by an advanced fellowship in adult and pediatric spinal deformity surgery with internationally recognized leaders in orthopedic spine surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his wife and son, reading non-fiction, cooking and traveling.
