Aparna Padiyar is a fabulous nephrologist. She always explains things in a way I can understand. She'll always pause and ask me if she's going too fast and if she'd like me to repeat any part of what she's explaining to me. I wish all my doctors were as cool and thorough as Aparna Padiyar.I'm a big fan of her and her physician's style. I'm sorry my kidneys aren't as healthy as they used to be, but I'm so glad that Aparna Padiyar is checking in on them and making sure that all is well.

Dr.Padiyar is a wonderful doctor! She always explains things very well and will ask me if she is overwhelming me with too much info. If so, she'll slow down and repeat the info I really need to understand regarding my medical condition.

I think this physician is very knowledgeable and caring. It's not her fault that it took so long for an appointment but I did have issues that I thought should have been seen sooner and this was my first visit and she was the soonest one I could get in to see. Would definitely recommend her. I had a kidney doctor at another facility and I never knew any of the things that this physician talk to me about. She explained things so that I could understand my situation. Kudos!!!!!

Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
