Dr. Padiyar is awesome!

[...] Words can not describe how I feel about Dr Padiyar. I had a kidney transplant last year and she is the BEST. All your Drs at the institute are good. However Dr Padiyar goes over and above. She goes over and above. She has called me on the weekends about any concerns with my blood work. I have some problems and she and her nurse coordinator [...] are on the ball. They let nothing slip thru the cracks. I feel so confident in Dr Padiyar and know she only wants what is best for me and to make sure my kidney stays functioning. In my 69 years of being seen by different Dr's she is by far the best. [...] I really appreciate her and know I am in good hands with her. Whenever I have to go to the Transplant Clinic I hope I get to see her. When I leave my appointment I feel confident in knowing she really cares,

Just love Dr Padiyar! she really explains everything in great detail and why she is ordering tests and what it will prove. She calls even on the weekends with results. She is the best of Dr's on the Transplant kidney team. I like all the Dr's on the team but she is my favorite.

This was the first time I have seen this provider and was very impressed satisfied with our consult. I felt much more at ease after talking with her. She ordered a blood and urine test for me after our meeting and called me herself early the following morning. I am most impressed with the way I was treated and hope that UH can hold on to her.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
