very flat affect. came into the room, spent 5 minutes in the room after her resident had been in the room, stated since there was nothing for her to operate on then there was nothing she could help me with.

Dr. Miskovsky was very professional, efficient, knowledgeable and kind. She explained every aspect of my injury in detail, answered all of my questions, and provided all the information needed for the next steps in the healing process. I felt confident in her ability and comfortable in her demeanor. I would choose her again and would recommend her to others.

Dr. Miskovsky understood how important it was to me to fully recover my ability to participate in athletic activity. The choices we made together were based on that understanding. She reported to me after the surgical reduction of my broken left fifth metatarsal that she had been able to restore the full length of the bone - which was a superb outcome.

Dr. Miskovsky listened closely, provided recommendations, and ultimately helped me make my own decision for what is right for me. She remembered details from our last appointment which was nearly 3 years ago after my initial operation. Her staff (I don't remember his name) was also extremely helpful and patient in answering all my logistical and scheduling questions. Throughout my visit, I felt well cared-for and respected.

This doctor came recommended by another physician. I am usually very comfortable with most doctors. Not so with Dr. Miskovsky. She may be an excellent surgeon, but she surely is not a "people" person unfortunately. She is not very friendly and is abrupt. Don't know if dealing with patients, making them feel cared for and comfortable is part of medical training. I would think so. And maybe some physicians just don't get it or are not capable for some reason. So, they should stay with research and not deal with the public. I don't like saying this about this doctor, but I believe in being honest.

I needed a specialist for an injury to my foot and Dr. Miskovsky saw me within a few days. I first saw an assistant and Dr. M came in for only a couple of minutes. This was not a major injury so I was fine with that. I asked when I came in whether Dr. M was on time and was told that she was running about 30 minutes behind - which was correct. She was cordial and answered my questions.

The doctor had an emergency surgery earlier in the day and was therefore behind. Several staff members kept me informed. I appreciate that the doctor would take an emergency, that is why I always bring my Kindle to read should there be a delay. Everyone involved apologized about the delay. No problem.

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
