Tanya Koziol, CNP

Tanya Koziol FNP, MSN, RN, is a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) with the University Hospitals Urology Institute. She sees patients at offices in Parma and Elyria, Ohio.

Tanya Koziol obtained her Registered Nurse Diploma from Huron School of Nursing (Cleveland, Ohio) in 2010. She went on to attend Baldwin Wallace University (Berea, Ohio), where she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in biology. Ms. Koziol then attended Walden University (Minneapolis, Minnesota), where she obtained a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner degree, graduating with honors. She is also currently pursuing her Doctorate Degree in Nursing.

Prior to joining the UH Urology Institute, Ms. Koziol’s professional experience included working as a surgical breast oncology Advanced Practice Registered Nurse-CPN at MetroHealth Medical Center (Cleveland, Ohio); a perioperative registered nurse at University Hospitals St. John Medical Center (Westlake, Ohio); a registered nurse at MetroHealth Medical Center’s Outpatient Surgery Clinic (Cleveland, Ohio); and a registered nurse in the Dermatology Department at MetroHealth Westlake Health Center (Westlake, Ohio).

Professional organizations in which Ms. Koziol is a member include The American Urological Association and The Northeast Ohio Nurse Honor Guard, where she volunteers in her spare time. Among other awards and honors, she is the recipient of the 2024 Daisy Nursing Award. Ms. Koziol also underwent training as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.
