About
Marie Hickey, DNP, is a family-certified advanced practice nurse at University Hospitals. Her clinical interests include the prevention, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic health issues in primary care.
Hickey earned her undergraduate degree from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. She went on to study at Case Western Reserve University Frances Payne Bolton College in Nursing in Cleveland, where she completed a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in nursing. Hickey earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Rush University in Chicago.
Prior to working at University Hospitals, Hickey was the director of the nurse practitioner programs at Kent State University. She also worked as a clinical preceptor preparing new nurse practitioners.
Hickey is active in community volunteering at Hudson City Schools and St. Mary Catholic Church in Hudson, Ohio. She is also involved in the Hibernian organization in Northeast Ohio.
Hickey and her husband are the parents of two daughters and reside in Hudon.
