Emil Hayek, MD, FACC, FACP, is a general and interventional cardiologist at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Dr. Hayek earned his medical degree with high honors from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. His postdoctoral training included a residency in internal medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Hayek is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. His special areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of patients with coronary artery disease, heart valve disease, heart failure and heart arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation. He also has extensive experience in preventive cardiology.
Dr. Hayek is a member of nationally distinguished organizations including the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography, Ohio State Medical Association and Summit County Medical Association. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and American College of Physicians.
Dr. Hayek has been recognized as one of Crain's Ceveland Business "Forty Under Forty."

Dr. Hayak is my cardiologist, not my primary care physician, Seems like this survey is geared more routine appointments. Dr. Hayak is very knowledgeable and takes the time necessary to review my status and answer all questions. In November I had a complex procedure, non heart related, and he was able to access my records and was on top of it.
