Adham Haj Abdulkader, MD, is a pulmonologist and the Division Chief of Pulmonary Medicine at University Hospitals St. John Medical Center. He is also a clinical instructor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (Cleveland, Ohio).
Dr. Haj Abdulkader obtained his medical degree at the University of Tishreen School of Medicine (Latakia, Syria) in 2008. His postdoctoral training included a residency in internal medicine completed at Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center (Washington DC) in 2012 and fellowship in pulmonary and critical care completed at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in 2015.
Dr. Haj Abdulkader is a member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physician and Society of Critical Care Medicine. As a regularly invited speaker at the grand rounds of the Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UH Case Medical Center, Dr. Haj Abdulkader has lectured on such topics as therapeutic hypothermia post-cardiac arrest and the pathogenic role of angiotensin II in acute lung injury. He has also authored a number of abstracts and poster presentations for such peer-reviewed medical journals as American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and CHEST. Among other honors and awards, Dr. Haj Abdulkader is a recipient of the Cleveland Magazine Top Doctors Award (2020 – 2021).
