Dr Haj is prob best and nicest Dr I've ever seen

Reviewed On 11/1/2021
Dr. Haj is one of the best doctors I've have ever seen. My first visit was over the phone so on this visit, I met him in person. He introduced himself and was kind, listened carefully to me, answered my questions and knew my history, having my record in front of him. We talked in detail about my condition and my meds. He said that if something changes (and I feel I need It again as I stopped taking it) to call him and that he can order it. I felt like he truly cared about me and that I was in the hands of the best pulmonologist. The world would be a better place with more doctors like him!

Dr. Haj is a good listener and evaluated my information and my condition in a good way and explained his thinking

Reviewed On 10/1/2021
I have complete confidence in this doctor. He Is exceedingly patient and kind, a good listener, and answers my questions completely. I value his expertise and his judgment, and follow his recommendations. He offers alternatives when possible, and treats me like an intelligent grown-up. When discussing medications, he is attentive to the cost to the patient, a rarity among doctors. I feel very fortunate to have him as my doctor.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
