About
Austin Haines, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician with a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in primary care sports medicine at University Hospitals. His practice is focused on the diagnosis and treatment of medical issues in athletes of all ages, musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging and ultrasound-guided procedures.
Dr. Haines is also an assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and a clinical instructor of family and community medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University in Cleveland, Ohio. He serves as assistant team physician for the Cleveland Browns and as lead physician for Baldwin Wallace University and numerous local high school sports teams.
After graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from John Carroll University, Dr. Haines went on to earn his medical degree at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency in family medicine, sports medicine track, at UH St. John Medical Center in Westlake, Ohio, followed by a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at UH Cleveland Medical Center.
Dr. Haines is an accomplished local, regional and national presenter and author on topics related to his field of expertise. He is a member in good standing of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association.
