About
Melanie Gropler, MD, is a pediatric cardiologist at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in the Congenital Heart Collaborative. She is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology and her special interests include fetal and pediatric cardiology.
Dr. Gropler earned her undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University and her medical degree at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency and fellowship training in pediatric cardiology at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Gropler also completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiac advanced imaging at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Dr. Gropler is active in pediatric cardiology research with focus in fetal cardiac imaging. She has presented at numerous national meetings and has been published in prominent medical journals. Dr. Gropler is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Heart Association and the American Society of Echocardiography.

At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
