About
Dr. Ewing-Wilson is the Vice Chair of operations for the Department of Neurology. In this role, she oversees the day-to-day operations for UHMP and UHMG faculty outpatient and inpatient practices, focusing on meeting the University Hospital Neurological Institute's strategic goals. She assists the Department Chair in recruiting and retaining high-quality faculty for the Community Neurology Center's clinical, education, and administrative programs to assure that the Neurological Institute maintains its regional leadership and national prominence.
Dr. Ewing-Wilson has over thirty years' experience in healthcare management. She was the Medical Director of Clinically Integrated Networks and Third-Party Payers at HealthSpan Physicians Inc. In this role, she was responsible for the quality and appropriate resource management across all business lines with a focus on Medicare Advantage and HIX (Health Insurance Exchange) members. As the associate medical director of medical and surgical specialties at Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Ewing-Wilson was responsible for measuring, monitoring, and implementing key clinical quality measures and complex case management strategies across twenty-five specialties.
Dr. Ewing-Wilson completed her undergraduate training at Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She completed her internship at Brentwood Hospital (now Southpointe) and her neurology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She was the chief neurology resident in 1987. She welcomes and enjoys having medical students and residents rotate through the Community Neurology Center. Dr. Ewing-Wilson is married and has two grown daughters. She enjoys travel, swimming, and Barre based exercise.
Dr. Ewing-Wilson was named to Cleveland Magazine’s 2022 Best Doctors list.
