Kevin Chaung, MD is a radiation oncologist with University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center. He sees patients at UH Portage Medical Center. Dr. Chaung’s areas of expertise include brain tumors, breast cancer, esophageal cancer, head and neck cancers, lung cancer, prostate cancer, rectal cancer, sarcoma and general radiation oncology.

As an undergraduate, Dr. Chaung attended Indiana University (Bloomington, Indiana), where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry (minor in economics) in 2013. He then attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (Cleveland, Ohio), earning his medical degree in 2017. Dr. Chaung’s postdoctoral training included an internship with the Department of Internal Medicine, MetroHealth Medical Center (Cleveland, Ohio), completed in 2018. In 2021, he completed a residency with the Department of Radiation Oncology at UH Cleveland Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident.

As a researcher, Dr. Chaung has contributed to such peer-reviewed reviewed medical journals as Clinical Lung Cancer, Cureus: Journal of Medical Science, Annals of Palliative Medicine, and Experimental and Clinical Transplantation. He has delivered abstracts and poster presentations at meetings of the American Society for Radiation Oncology, American Academy of Neurology, American Society of Transplant Surgeons, American Transplant Congress and Society for Neuro-Oncology. Among other honors and awards, Dr. Chaung is the recipient of the CWRU School of Medicine Merit Scholarship (2013-2017) and the CWRU School of Medicine Dean’s Summer Research Award (2014).
