Patient Experience Reviews
Great Improvements with the wait times!
Very good experience with Dr. OK. She even followed up *** with a call to give me an update on my situation.
The doctor was great. Through no fault of the doctor, I waited over an hour and a half to be seen by the doctor, because they added extra people onto her schedule at the last minute . This is unacceotable. Makes it look like the patient's time is not important.
Dr Chaekal and her staff are wonderful
Due to a mistake by the outpatient lab, bloodwork requested by this doctor was not done. The doctor was unprepared for the visit through no fault of her own. This visit was a waste as nothing useful came of it. Because of the error by the outpatient lab, 6 person hours were wasted, 60 travel miles for nothing. The cost of the visit was a waste. The doctor's time was wasted.
I was extremely pleased with Dr. Chaekal. She was very professional, knowledgeable and empathetic with my concerns. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.
I had a very comfortable experience with my physician. My questions and concerns were discussed and I totally understand my illness and why I'm taking the medications that I do.
Dr Chaekel and Nurse *** are excellent professionals and so appreciate their care and attention enormously
My experience at UH Seidman Cancer Center was excellent. The staff was polite, efficient and caring. I would like to recognize my housekeeper, Tracey who did a very through job keeping my room clean, considering my health condition. Sincerely Judy Ramos
Dr was delayed due to an emergency, but we understand. Our first visit with Dr and she explained things we needed to know.
All in all, a good first-time meeting. ***
All very good. This was a first consultation with a specialist: your questions do not seem appropriate for evaluating such a visit.
I am confident that my team has my best health as their number one concern.
Good job Dr. Chaekal!!!
Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
