I am thankful to have Dr Carmichael as my primary care physician. She listens and is caring, thorough, professional and personable.

I have always enjoyed my visits with Dr. Carmichael, as she is personable. Maybe she was having a bad day, but she seemed in a big rush, didn't really validate the issues I was having, and when I asked about a change in one of my regular prescriptions, she asked who my primary care provider was for that (it's her, but her question literally hurt my feelings so much I cried in the car after all that).

This was my first visit to this practice - changing primary care providers - and it was wonderful - so happy I found this office and this team. Thank you.

This practice always treats you with respect and courtesy. The staff and Doctors listen and never make you feel rushed. They are thorough and answer all questions. Also, very prompt answering questions thru the patient portal.

When I commented about still having an issue with recovering from a surgery over six months ago, she didn't seem to hear or acknowledge so I dropped it.

It's nice to go to a doctor's office and not have to wait for an extended period of time. This is only my 2nd or 3rd visit to this office, and each time, they are efficient, courteous and helpful. Dr. Carmichael is so personable and easy to talk with. I also like that I can walk down the hall for lab work. They called with the results of my lab work the next working day. Great office!

I had a very positive experience. This was my first visit to get established so it would be hard for the staff to already be familiar with my medical history and I did not provide past medical records. I am happy with the outcome and happy to have found Dr. Carmichael to see as my provider in the future.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.

As of December 31, 2016, Katherine Carmichael did not disclose any Outside Relationships with Industry.
