Morley-Mather Chair in Neuropsychiatry

Leading neuroscientist Andrew A. Pieper, MD, PhD, is the inaugural Morley-Mather Chair in Neuropsychiatry. Recruited to the Harrington Discovery Institute in 2018, Dr. Pieper is Director of the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation-Harrington Scholar Program and Gund-Harrington Scholar Program. A unique bridge between the fields of neurology and psychiatry, the Morley-Mather Chair was established by John C. Morley and his late wife, Sally, with the Elizabeth Ring Mather and William Gwinn Mather Fund in 2009.

Endowed Chairs, Directors and Master Clinicians are prestigious titles at University Hospitals which are awarded to leading physicians and administrators, recognizing profound contributions in health care and the potential for continued innovation. They are sources of support, providing dedicated funds for research, education and training in perpetuity. And they are, above all else, inspiring reminders of our community’s generosity, each a lasting legacy for individuals and families that will endure for generations.
