Medical Education

UH offers medical education programs that promote our culture of diversity and inclusion through the recruitment of minority doctors and students.

  • The David Satcher Clerkship, a national model for the recruitment of minority medical students created as an assurance that the diversity of future generations of health care leaders receives accurate representation, and as a pledge that the needs of the underserved and underrepresented ethnic communities will be met.
  • The Health Scholars Internship Program provides internship opportunities for minority high-school students interested in careers in medicine.
