Call Requirements for Pain Medicine Fellows

Call is taken by the main campus fellow for one week, Monday to Sunday. It is a home call and the senior resident carries the frontline pager. The fellow handles all calls regarding implanted patients and post-procedure complaints.

Weekend rounds occur with the resident and staff attending. Occasionally there are cases added on the weekend but they are usually only urgent cases like blood patches or emergent cases like infected implants, both of which are extremely rare. Most weekend rounds are done before noon. The amount of call is divided evenly amongst the fellows.
