Division of Emergency Medicine Research
We aspire to advance the field of emergency medicine with timely and important research and scholarly activity. Scholarly activity in turn furthers the academic missions of the department, and trains residents and students to better understand the research process and how to critically appraise the medical literature.
University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center Department of Emergency Medicine has outstanding research opportunities with access to the resources of UH Cleveland Medical Center and Case Western Reserve University. Our department has a wide range of research interests, including a focus on industry-sponsored clinical trials, sexually transmitted diseases, Cimex lectularius L. (the common bed bug), palliative care, emergency medical services (EMS), geriatrics, ultrasound and clinical operations.
Residents and students interested in doing research in our department should either contact a faculty member that shares their research interests.
