Medical Training for Residents, Fellows, and Medical Students
The Department of Radiation Oncology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, in collaboration with Case Western Reserve University, is a top clinical research department that leads in both national trials as well as investigator-initiated trials.
It is comprised of four specialty areas, including:
- Radiation oncology
- Medical physics (at Case Western Reserve University)
- Radiation biology (at Case Western Reserve University)
- Proton Therapy Center
The Department of Radiation Oncology offers an exceptionally strong Radiation Oncology Physician Residency Program as well as a Medical Physics Residency Program.
- Radiation Oncology Physician Residency
The Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center Radiation Oncology Physician Residency Program is led by Mitchell Machtay, MD, and Tithi Biswas, MD. Our four-year program was recently re-accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
- Medical Physics Residency Program
The Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center Medical Physics Residency Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Educational Programs (CAMPEP) since 2013.
- Medical Students Opportunities
Department faculty teach numerous medical students from Case Western Reserve University, as well as visiting medical students from around the country.
