Patient Experience Reviews
I loved how knowledgeable and up to date she was
The provider prescribed medication and a treatment plan. After five days (including the weekend) I called the office and left a message, inquiring on the status of the prescriptions and treatment plan. A few hours later my pharmacy notified me they had received my prescriptions. Then the following day the office called and asked if I had received my prescriptions.
Dr. Shannon Gilham is an excellent care provider. First time visit as my former care provider retired.
Great
Even when she has an emergency c section And she couldn't get on at the scheduled time she still called me to see if we could do the apt an hour later. She is a wonderful doctor best one I've ever had I don't ever want to lose her
I Love Dr. Gilham & Her Office. She Is Simply Amazing!
Dr. Gilham and her staff are an excellent complement to the field of medicine. I only wish I had found her/staff much sooner.
I was a new patient for this visit and the care and information I received from the office, staff, and provider was substantially better then the previous office (not a UH office) I was seen at.
Dr. Gilham really went above and beyond for me and my baby. I could not be more thankful to have her as my health care provider. Best doctor I have ever had and I would recommend her to everyone. Very knowledgeable, experienced, and kind.
Dr Gilham takes care of her patients!
It was extremely happy with Shannon, very good doctor.
Dr Gilham is the epitome of care and compassion. She's kind and patient, and actively listens and does so with empathy. She always provides an assessment, next steps, and options.
Dr. Gilham seems competent, professional and kind. However, she ordered BOTH an external and internal ultrasound. Since I am self-pay, I wish she would have just ordered the internal one since that would have shown everything she needed.
*** I do love my doctor and she is very compassionate and informative ***
Dr Robinson was my OBGYN prior to this visit. I absolutely loved her and was so sad to see her go. Dr. Gillham has been amazing so far as well and is very knowledgeable to the conditions I have. I love that she wanted to do further workup and testing rather than just jumping to a conclusion and diagnosing me with something else on the spot. She was very friendly and I will for sure return to her care and recommend her in the future.
Good
I always have great experiences when coming to see the doctor! She's kind and very courteous
Dr. Gilham was enthusiastic to take care of me and answer any questions that I had regarding care after my c-section. She even went so far as to write down things on post- it notes to help me remember the brand of vitamins to buy. I appreciate her help and would recommend her services to someone else in need of a gynocologist.
Love seeing Dr. Gilham, she never rushed you out the door. She heard the concerns I had about my health a d took care of me with ease. Would highly recommend her for doctoring.
Dr. Gilham was very thorough and explained everything. She gives excellent care.
Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
