Patient Experience Reviews
The Experience We Encountered Was Honestly Exquisite I Love How Dr. Akbar Talks To The Point It Puts My Care At Ease In Reference To My Child's Care Because He Is Doing Most Of The Talking That's Very Initial He Actually Is Checking In On Things Even With After Care With Him He Is Making Rapid Follow Up Calls Which Is Very Intuitive For Great Key Quality Care
My children are LONG TIME patients of Dr. Akbar.... We have been patients of his for 20+ years.... He's the absolute BEST pediatrician!
My experience with this provider is always a positive one. He is the doctor for all three of my children and I would recommend him to anyone

Dr. Akbar is the best, he always explains everything and makes sure we're aware of the plan. I couldn't ask for a better provider for my children.
Dr. Akbar is by far the best pediatrician around!
Dr. Akbar is absolutely the BEST!! His bedside manner is exceptional, and he truly cares about my son. My son is the only one in our family to use the University Hospitals (except for urgent care visits) and that is due to Dr. Akbar. We met Dr. Akbar when he took care of my son at an emergency room visit when he was a toddler, and he has been my son's pediatrician ever since. I can not say enough good thing him! University Hospital is extremely lucky to have Dr. Akbar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
