Patient Experience Reviews
She was excellent, better than my primary care doctor
The Dr was very nice I really liked her and would love to have her for any other things I need to address. She was pleasant and very through with my care
Carrie is excellent, she listened, and explained everything.
I'm switching from *** to University for several reasons including insurance & doctor availability. I scheduled myself with Carrie Astrub and couldn't be more pleased at how kind she was as well as how thorough she was about wanting to get to the bottom of my illness. FINALLY I was on the mend 2 days after I seen this provider after suffering 2 other rounds of meds through *** and over 6 weeks of self medicating OTC and just being miserable. I'm so grateful that Carrie Astrub took the time to listen to everything I had already tried and made it her mission to get me better!!! I'm almost 100% recovered after 5 full days of the antibiotic & steroid that Carrie prescribed and took the time to investigate for me after what I had already been prescribed but failed. I will say I am experiencing a small yet warned of side effect (skin irritation & very itchy) from the antibiotic that I'm confident will subside once I've completed with the 10 day treatment.
Carrie is exceptional at what she does. She really took the time and listened to me like no other provider has done in the past. I'm so glad I found her!
Staff was fabulous!!!

Carrie was very professional, yet approachable and easy to talk to.
Excellent experience. Best i've had at the hale st clinic yet.
I had told Carrie I needed my blood thinner meds and compression socks and that it was workers compensation, when I went to get my meds at drug Mart my insurance had to pay for the blood thinner meds and I didn't get my socks.when I called the hospital the next day I found out that Carrie Astrab wasn't a workers Comp doctor. She DID NOT TELL ME THAT
Very friendly and concerned .

This was my first meeting with Carrie Astrab. She was phenomenal, and for the first time, I felt I was being heard and not judged. She will be my primary go-to going forward.

Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
