About
Trevor Teetor, MD is a board-eligible general and colorectal surgeon at University Hospitals, with additional certifications in laparoscopic, endoscopic and robotic surgery. He is also an assistant professor of colorectal surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Teetor ’s clinical interests include benign colorectal disorders, colorectal cancers, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, rectal prolapse and surgical treatments for fecal incontinence.
Dr. Teetor attended The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio for his undergraduate education, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He went on to earn his medical doctorate at the University of Toledo College of Medicine, followed by a residency in general surgery at Wellspan York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania. His training continued at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio where he completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery.
In addition to his many research contributions to the field, Dr. Teetor is the author and co-author of multiple manuscripts, abstracts and publications related to the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of colorectal and digestive diseases. He is an active member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Teetor is active in a variety of civic and charitable activities, the most recent of which was a two-week surgical mission trip to Apam, Ghana in 2018. In his free time he enjoys competitive rock climbing, white water rafting and reading.
