This was my first time seeing a pulmonologist so I wasn't sure what to expect. After almost 3 months of a persistent cough and providers prescribing antibiotics then telling me to wait it out, I made an appointment with Adam Ridenour. He spent more time with me reviewing and wanting to understand what has happened with me than some of the providers I had already seen. We are still in the testing phase but it was refreshing to have a provider with empathy and who listened.

This was a meet and greet with Adam Ridenour. I have never had anyone spend time getting to know my health issues and previous care as he did. I cannot tell you how satisfied I am with his care and concern. It was very refreshing to find a CNP like him. I am so grateful I found him.

I thought Adam did a great job, I*** I was nervous about talking to a Doctor about my lung issue. I haven't had this issue before so I was confused as far as what was going on with my lungs and should I continue taking my current prescribed medications. This was also the first time I had seen a pulmonologist in a long time. Adam put me at ease, and made me feel I could just talk freely how I was feeling. This also made me feel I could trust him and what he was telling me, so I can't say enough how good I felt after the office visit. Very appreciative. Thank you Adam ***

Adam was very knowledgeable and had obviously looked at my medical history in detail. He took time to ask me questions and clarify things for me. He suggested I try a new prescription and also suggested and referred me to a cardiologist about chest pains and a sleep specialist about my sleep apnea treatment.

Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.

As of December 31, 2016, Adam Ridenour did not disclose any Outside Relationships with Industry.
