About

Erin Ohliger, MD, is a fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon who specializes in all conditions of the arm, including fractures, arthritis, tendon disorders, sports injuries, and nerve compression or damage. She is trained in arthroscopy, minimally invasive surgical approaches and microvascular surgery. Dr. Ohliger adopts a personal approach to each patient, taking time to understand them in order to develop a collaborative treatment plan that addresses their individual goals.

Dr. Ohliger completed her undergraduate education at Kent State University. She attended Northeast Ohio Medical University where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After completing her orthopedic residency at the Cleveland Clinic, she pursued subspecialty training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the prestigious Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.

Dr. Ohliger is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. She has numerous peer-reviewed publications on various orthopedic and upper extremity topics. She has presented her research at the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and exploring the outdoors. Dr. Ohliger is a third-generation Lorain County physician who looks forward to taking care of patients in the region that she calls home.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
