We had to wait a little while in the waiting room but that wasn't a big deal. Dr Nikonchik has an awesome bedside manner. She's direct but it's not off-putting. She's friendly and invites questions. I like her for my kids A LOT!

I was very surprised to get a sick child appointment for my daughter that easily. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes, including wait time. The physician was very attentive to my daughter's needs. She exceeded our expectations. She did not try to prescribe unnecessary medications. She provided reassurance and a clear explanation of what was needed by my daughter. Her bedside manner was exemplary. Overall both myself and my daughter (the patient) were very satisfied with this encounter. Well, as happy as you can be with a sick child anyway!

Everything was great. The Doctor was wonderful and we will continue to use her going forward.

I really like Dr. Nikonchik because she has an enjoyable bedside manner. She has a bit of a no-nonsense aura BUT you can tell she has a good sense of humor along with it. My daughter seems very comfortable with her.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.

As of December 31, 2016, Andrea Nikonchik did not disclose any Outside Relationships with Industry.
